Recreational marijuana has finally passed in Oregon. Thanks to Measure 91 an initiated state statute that was put on state wide ballot in November,4,2014 is now in full effect. Recreational marijuana is now legal for adults 21 and older. Adults 21 an older are now legally able to posses up to eight ounces of dried recreational marijuana and grow up to four adult plants. Oregon’s liquor control commission will be I charge of the provisioning of the sale of legal marijuana. also Oregon legislative is considering imposing a 17% sales tax and are considering empowering local counties and towns to input a 3% sales tax with a grand total of 20% sales tax. things are looking pretty good for marijuana advocates as more and more states begin to legalize for recreational marijuana.
